Live Free Software respects copyrights. This policy explains how to report content on a site we host that you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your content was removed.

2.What your notice must include
Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)), your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed;
- the web address (URL) of the material you want removed;
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
A notice missing these items may not be acted on. Making a false claim can make you liable for damages.
3.What we do
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable the material promptly. We tell the client who posted it and send them a copy of the notice.
4.Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the address above. It must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the removed material and where it appeared;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and phone number; and
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or New Hampshire, if you are outside the US), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the original notice.
We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us they have filed a lawsuit, we restore the material within 10 to 14 business days.
5.Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of clients who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.
6.Trademark and other complaints
For trademark concerns or other content complaints, email [email protected] with the web address and an explanation. We review each one under our Acceptable Use Policy.
