Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: October 30, 2026 Last updated: October 30, 2026 3 min read Previous versions

This Acceptable Use Policy lists what you may not do with the Live Free Software platform. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Each section starts with a short summary in italics. Summaries are for convenience; the full text governs.

1.Who this applies to

This policy applies to every client and every user on a client's account. You are responsible for anything sent or published from your account, including by your staff and contractors.

2.Prohibited uses

In short: no illegal, deceptive, abusive or harmful activity.

You may not use the platform to:

  • break any law or help anyone else break one;
  • send spam or unwanted messages;
  • impersonate a person or business, or hide who you are;
  • spread malware, hack, probe our systems, or get around usage limits;
  • scrape, copy or resell the platform or its data;
  • publish sexual, hateful, harassing or violent content;
  • commit fraud, run scams or make false claims;
  • post fake reviews or violate anyone's privacy;
  • run gambling, payday lending or crypto-mining;
  • make automated decisions about anyone's credit, housing, job, insurance or other eligibility;
  • give legal, medical, financial or other professional advice without a license;
  • sell weapons or run unlawful political campaigns; or
  • abuse, threaten or harass our staff.

3.Texting and calling rules

In short: consent first, honor STOP, respect quiet hours, no banned topics.

  • Consent. Text or call only people who gave you consent. Get prior express written consent before sending marketing. Keep records of that consent for at least 5 years.
  • No purchased lists. Never upload purchased, rented, shared or scraped phone lists.
  • Opt-outs. Honor STOP and similar words immediately. Honor any other reasonable request within 10 business days. Never turn off STOP handling.
  • Do Not Call. Keep an internal Do Not Call list. Check national and state registries at least every 31 days.
  • Quiet hours. Send only between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in the recipient's time zone. In Florida, Oklahoma and Washington, stop at 8 p.m.
  • Identify yourself. Your first message must name your business and explain how to opt out.
  • Prohibited topics. No messages about sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco or cannabis (SHAFT-C). No gambling, payday loans, debt relief, third-party lead generation or affiliate marketing.
  • No link shorteners. Use full links on your own domain.
  • No snowshoeing. Never spread messages across many numbers to avoid carrier filters.
  • Call recording. Keep the recording announcement on. Everyone on the call must be told.
  • AI voice and voicemail drops require prior consent.

4.Email rules

  • Email only people who agreed to hear from you. No purchased lists.
  • Include your physical address and a working one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Honor unsubscribes within 2 days.
  • Send from a dedicated sending domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up. Never send from a free email address such as Gmail.
  • Keep spam complaints below 0.3%.

5.AI rules

  • Tell people when they are talking with AI. Offer a way to reach a person.
  • Review AI output before you rely on it.
  • Never enter health information, card numbers or other sensitive data into AI features.
  • Never use AI to make decisions with legal effects or to give professional advice.
  • Never clone someone's voice without their written consent.

6.Review rules

  • Ask all customers for reviews, not only happy ones.
  • Never offer rewards in exchange for positive reviews.
  • Never post fake, purchased or AI-written reviews, or hide honest negative ones.

7.Map and listing data

Do not scrape, copy or store map or business-listing content beyond what the feature allows.

8.What happens if you break these rules

In short: warning, then suspension, then termination.

  1. Warning. We tell you what's wrong and how to fix it.
  2. Suspension. If the problem continues, we pause the affected feature or your account.
  3. Termination. If it still isn't fixed, we close the account.

For serious violations, or when a carrier or provider demands it, we may suspend or terminate right away. Fees already paid are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9.Report a problem

To report abuse, spam or a violation, email [email protected] or call 351-277-0785.
