Live Free Software wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people with disabilities.

1.Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines make websites easier to use for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor or cognitive disabilities.

2.Where we stand

Our site partially meets WCAG 2.1 AA. Some parts don't fully meet it yet. We have not yet had a formal outside audit.

We design our pages to include:

  • Text and links with strong color contrast
  • Pages that work with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines
  • Headings in a logical order, so screen readers can navigate
  • Layouts that adjust to phones and zoomed-in text
  • Respect for your device's "reduce motion" setting

3.Known limits

  • Some embedded tools, such as booking calendars, chat and forms, come from third parties and may not be fully accessible.
  • Some images may be missing descriptive alt text.
  • Older documents and videos may lack captions or accessible formatting.

We are working through these and checking the site every quarter.

4.How we checked

We have not yet completed a full review of the site. Our first review will use automated tools and manual keyboard testing, and we will post its date here.

5.Tell us about a problem

If something on our site is hard to use, please tell us. We will respond within 2 business days and help you get what you need another way.

6.Websites we build for clients

We build client sites to WCAG 2.1 AA on a best-efforts basis. Each client is responsible for the accessibility of its own site, including the content and tools it adds. This statement covers only livefreesoftware.com.
